This is the last in our first series of videos! We hope you enjoy watching it. We have used a StampZia stamp called Small Totems. We liked this stamp because it has eight different designs on it, and it is deeply impressed. So with the one stamp, you can create 8 different pendant designs. Then, with all the techniques you have learned so far, there are infinite possibilities to the ways you can finish the pendants- the colors you will use, the inks and powders you can apply, and the ways you can decide to string them up.

Tomorrow we will release Episode # 6 of Polymer Clay TV and our complete project download, Polymer Clay Classroom. This is the last video we have filmed. Kira is coming up to my place on Saturday and we plan on getting some filming done. We have some great episodes in store and we have taken all of your suggestions in to consideration when planning the shows. Kira and I felt we needed to start with the basics so that anyone who had never worked with polymer clay before would have some sort of foundation to get started. As the episodes progress so will the projects and demonstrations. I don’t think we will ever run out of ideas since polymer clay is so versatile. If you have something you would like to see on the show, send us an e-mail or give us a call and we would be happy to consider it for future episodes. Make sure to come back tomorrow to check out the video. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Don’t forget to check out this months winner of the PCAGOE challenge. Congrats Dawn! http://www.hardflowerstudios.etsy.com

I am working to finish up the two videos, Polymer Clay TV & Polymer Clay Classroom that will be released this Friday and realized how much I have learned over the past months of creating the podcast and videocast with Kira. If you had asked me a year ago what I thought I would be doing a year from then, I most certainly wouldn’t have thought that I would be doing this. I am amazed by all the things I learn on a daily basis and have loved every minute of it. I have definitely learned that the world isn’t as big as we think. It constantly amazes me that people are listening and watching us around the world. This week alone we had visitors from French Guyana, Spain, Czech Republic, Pakistan, Germany, Portugal, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Phillipines, Croatia, Russia, China and of course the USA. Thanks everyone for all the support, it is really appreciated. When Kira comes up to my place to film on Saturday we will take all the things we learned in these past months and use them to make the shows even better. We want to keep learning, improving and growing and we hope you will join us. For those of you who do not know our shows are always archived, which means you can always go back and listen & watch past shows. If you go to the right sidebar on our website and scroll down to categories, you will see a listing for podcasts & videocasts and you can click on those links and you will be taken to where all the prior shows are stored.

In just the three short months we have been doing the shows we have met some amazing people and shared with so many people around the world our passion for creating with polymer clay. Polymer clay is a medium that is so versatile and can be adapted to almost anything. We plan to show you a variety of techniques and ways to use polymer clay to brighten your life with your creativity and with color. I have had to think about what inspires me lately as I write my interview for the guilds website http://www.pcagoe.com which will be on the website Sept. 7th and I have to say the single most inspirational thing to me has been color. I am constantly finding new colors to blend or make with the clay and finding new color combinations that wow me. I always start creating by laying colors out on my table and moving them around until I find the perfect fit. I guess you can say it is a little meditative when I sit down in my studio and start to create. I live out in the country and my studio view is of pines, oaks, birds, animals and insects and let me tell you there are some crazy looking insects out in the woods.LOL Believe it or not some of those crazy looking insects colors have been an inspiration for my designs. Look around you and there is inspiration everywhere. I encourage you to look at colors that you like and try to recreate them in polymer clay, there are infinite possibilities!

Just a reminder to sign up for our newsletter if you have not, we will be giving away some great prizes each month and all you have to do to be entered to win is sign up for the newsletter.

Kira and I make all the decisions for the shows and love to have your input.  It is important to us to keep growing and expanding and providing quality content. Hope your week is getting started right. We have a lot of things going on this week and something we would like your help with. We have been in contact with a woman named Barbara that would like to help organize some Bottles Of Hope to be given to the patients at Dana Farber Cancer Int. in Massachusetts. For those of you who don’t know about the program, it is an amazing program where approximately 4 inch glass bottles that are embellished with polymer clay are given to cancer patients. These bottles make a difference to a lot of people. You should check out our CHA videos we did to see just how much these bottles mean to people that are going through this terrible disease and also to their families. I encourage everyone to make a bottle or two and send them to Barbara to give to the patients. Here is the address to send them to:

Attn: Barbara Reider

PO Box 143

North Scituate, MA 02060

Barbara is also looking for some artists who live in the Massachusetts area to help with demonstrations at Dana Farber as well.  If you can help out, please send us an e-mail and we can forward it to Barbara. Thanks everyone!

This Friday we have a new episode of Polymer Clay TV coming out as well as a new episode of our full project download Polymer Clay Classroom. On this episode we show how to use polymer clay and stamps to make unique pendants. The stamps we use are from a company named http://www.stampzia.com

Her stamps are unusual and don’t usually require a release to be used. The rubber is different from red rubber and has some quality that the clay does not easily stick to. The stamp we used can make 8 different designs and the sky is the limit with the number of combinations you can try. Make sure to come back Friday  to watch. If you haven’t joined the mailing list make sure t0, we have a bunch of great prizes we are giving away and if you sign up for the newsletter you will automatically be entered to win. Hope you have a creative week!
