We had a busy weekend full of polymer clay discussions. On Saturday we interviewed Maureen Carlson and on Sunday we interviewed Maggie Maggio .
You will get to hear conversations with Maureen & Maggie as well as Sarah Shriver & Seth Lee Savarick on next weeks Polymer Clay Podcast that will air on August 24th. Our main focus was on finding out more about the National Polymer Clay Guilds upcoming Synergy Conference.
They have a lot of things planned for the event, so make sure to head over to the guilds website on August 20th when they release the catalog. It was a lot of fun getting to know everyone and we are looking forward to meeting everyone in person in Feb. at the conference. We hope you enjoy the interviews as much as we enjoyed doing them. It is great to hear other polymer clay artists perspective on things and I think that is what the event will offer. You will get to hear what other artists think about design, business and teaching. It will be a big networking opportunity and a chance to get to know others that have interest in polymer clay. I personally have never been to a polymer clay retreat or conference so I am really looking forward to it. I am pretty secluded and don’t have much opportunity to get together with a bunch of artists that share a passion for the same thing as me, polymer clay. Kira and I will be covering the conference so we plan on sharing when we get back. We hope to get to meet our listeners and viewers there but for those of you who can’t attend we will have some footage and I am sure stories to bring back to you.
This week on Polymer Clay TV we will be demoing different ways to work with polymer clay and dye ink also known as alcohol ink. Dye ink dries fast and is easy to work with and also has an added bonus of being translucent. Make sure to come back on Friday to watch us demonstrating how we use it. If the site is busy when you try to download the show on Friday you can also always get the show by doing a search for Polymer Clay TV on You Tube, Google Video and Yahoo Video. We are also in over 200 other aggregators and directories. Hope you enjoy the show!
