This week, we will show you how to take boring and ugly scraps of clay and turn them into beautiful objects by covering them with slices of canes. In Polymer Clay Classroom, we show you how to make the cane pictured and create a fan pull.
Enjoy!

This month the theme for our Call For Creativity is to use the color purple. Just be creative and have fun and upload your photo to our forum post to be entered by January 28th, 2008. Who knows you just might win a prize.
I have been in touch with several publishers and I am expecting another shipment of polymer clay books for review so we will have some more books to give away coming up. If you sign up for our newsletter you will automatically be entered to win and you will find out about the goings on at Polymer Clay Productions first. We have press passes into the Craft & Hobby Association show(CHA) & the American Craft Council show as well as Synergy so we will be bringing you lots of footage from those events. This time we will have two video cameras so there will be plenty of great footage. Is there something you want to see at the CHA show, let us know and maybe we can film it. We are planning all kinds of interviews while we are there as well and I am sure we will bring home a ton of goodies to share with you.
I am off today to go look for a storage solution for my messy studio today, I will keep you posted on what I find. I am looking for some type of metal cabinet, I think a metal one would be great since I can add magnets and polymer clay to metal. I am determined to get everything in order and to not end up like my parents, whose 2300 square foot home was filled to the brim in every space, corner and closet. In fact it took me over 2 years to get everything of theirs in order and I am still wading through some of it. Wish me luck.
Come on back tomorrow when we release a new episode of Polymer Clay TV, we share different ways to use cane slices and scrap clay. We have made beads, incense burners, paperweights and so much more. See you then! Enjoy!
