As I had mentioned earlier in the week, we had scheduled filming for this weekend. Unfortunately a strong cold front was coming through yesterday and we did not want to risk the loss of power nor did we want Kira driving in the torrential rain. So the new plan is to film this coming weekend. When we get together we usually film 6 episodes of Polymer Clay TV and 6 episodes of Polymer Clay Classroom, but this time it will be a little different. Since we are covering CHA and Synergy in the upcoming month, we will be sharing footage from the events on Polymer Clay TV, so naturally we don’t need as many episodes of Polymer Clay TV since they will be shot on location.
We have interviews lined up for both events with some really talented artists and we will also be covering the Bottle of Hope awards in Amaco’s booth. Since we won’t need as many episodes of PCTV we have decided to film some extra episodes as well as all the Polymer Clay Classrooms. We have taken all of your suggestions into consideration and are planning shows based on what you want to see. This time we have an episode on transfers, which was a technique requested quite often. We will be showing more canes as well as a variety of techniques. Kira and I thought it was necessary to start at the beginning with these lessons, so anyone who had never used the clay had a starting point. I have taught classes on polymer clay for many years and these are some of the things I teach in my class. I feel there is always something to learn from someone because everyone does things different. We hope to bring some of the things we learn back to share with you, so stay tuned for that.
Don’t forget that Polymer Clay Classroom is now open so you can check out all of our full length projects there.
