Tomorrow is Friday again and we have a new episode of Polymer Clay TV to release. In this episode we share some of our experiences at the Synergy, CHA and ACC events. We had a lot of fun and did a lot of interviews and got a ton of footage that we will be sharing over the next few months (that is how much footage we have). If you have an event that you would like us to cover to share with the community, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can always e-mail us at polymerclaypodcast@yahoo.com or call us at (206) 333-1751
If you have a comment, question or something you just want to share, you can call the above number and you just might end up on the podcast. The service we use allows us to record calls so if you have something to say that you would like to hear on the show then give us a call. We will only record the calls from those who want to be recorded. We will NEVER use anything without permission, so don’t worry if you just want to reach us and not be recorded for the show.
This months challenge for the PCAGOE was to create an animal out of polymer clay. This months winner is the very talented Zudagay and you can check out her shop at http://www.zudagay.etsy.com
There were many great entries and you can check them all out the PCAGOE website. Congrats to everyone!
The PCAGOE, Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy is such an amazing group of talented artists! For those of you that don’t know how the PCAGOE came about, way back on December 26, 2006, I had an idea that I wanted to start a group with polymer clay artists on Etsy. I wanted to have a place to share & connect with other polymer clay artists. Since I live in the boonies I don’t have the opportunity to connect with other polymer clay artists very often and I thought that the group would be right up my alley. The response was overwhelming as many artists wanted to join. I have to say that when I made that post, I never expected that it would change my life like it has.
Shortly after starting the group, I felt that the group needed a website to represent us and I put a call out to the members to see if anyone wanted to help build the groups website, well Kira answered that call and built the website and still maintains it to this day.
I was in a transitional period in my life and wanted something to sink my teeth in to and to devote my time to after having cared for my parents for several years and not being able to focus on my artwork. During this time I had purchased and Ipod and started listening to podcasts and had an ahh-haa moment and said to myself “I can do this!”. The problem was I didn’t have the technical skills and no idea how “I could do this”.LOL
I got to thinking and knew Kira would be the perfect person for this endeavor and after finding out we only lived about 5 1/2 hours away from each other, we decided to meet up half way between our houses, which was in Orlando, FL. As the saying goes the rest is history, that was a year ago this March when we met up in Orlando.
It has been an amazing experience to grow Polymer Clay Productions and the Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy. We have met so many great friends and have had some amazing opportunities. It has been a true blast and I am really looking forward to the future and the infinite possibilities that await us. This could not have been possible without our loyal listeners and viewers and I want to give you a big THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.
I hope you will join us in our newest adventure of creating live online video classes over at Crafted Online.
See you tomorrow! Enjoy!
