Polymer Clay Podcast This Friday, 1 Year Party This Sunday,PCAGOE Feature Member

Hope everyone is enjoying their day, I am visiting with my mom and father in law today and will be away from the computer most of the day. I have an 80 mile round trip to make and my mind is going the whole way, so it gives me time to think things out, since life has become so busy. It’s all good though and I am loving every minute of it.

This Friday we will be talking about covering metal tins with polymer clay. Polymer Clay adheres well to metal and one of the great things about working with metal is you can stick it in the oven too! I prefer to cover metal than glass objects. Over the many years we did art shows and had to travel with all of our artwork, we never had a metal covered item break. I had a lot of breakage when we covered glass. Because of the different climates we would go to, we would experience the clay cracking on the glass sometimes. Glass moves so it would expand and contract and if the clay was too brittle the clay would crack and that was the most upsetting thing, especially when it happened to a large vase I spent a long time creating. Yikes!

This Sunday, June 1st is our 1 year anniversary party at Polymer Clay Productions and we wanted to do something to thank you all for being a part of our first fantastic year. On Sunday, June 1st, 2008 you can come HERE to this website. http://www.polymerclayproductions.com

We will be hosting a LIVE event and you can come participate and win some great prizes too! Just come here between 3-5 PM eastern standard time and there will be a screen where you can watch and chat and ask questions to myself and Kira. It is going to be a blast and Kira and I have some fun demos planned as well. We hope you will join us! You must be present to win.

I wanted to share some of the fun things I found at Boodlers Beads. This stay at home mom loves to create creatures but her mokume gane is so beautiful too. Have fun looking through her shop, there are lots of fun things to see.
