Polymer Clay Podcast This Friday

This Friday we have a new episode of Polymer Clay Podcast. This week we talk about the Holiday Gift guide that I will be putting together. If you want to be a part of it, please e-mail me at polymerclaypodcast@yahoo.com

We also talk about what is coming next week on Polymer Clay TV, so you won’t want to miss it!

I have not been posting much lately as we still have not been able to remove the virus from the site. I don’t want anyone coming to the site to get the virus and it is quite frustrating.

The Magic Transfer Paper has been a big hit and we know that some of you want to purchase it but can’t get to our shop to do so. We decided to create a page just for it and you can find it at:

http://www.magictransferpaper.com

If you know of someone who was unable to get to the shop or site, please pass the address on to them, we would really appreciate it. Thanks for hanging in there while we get everything sorted out!

Polymer Clay TV # 67- leaf caning with Studio by Sculpey, how to video

This week, I will show you just how easy it is to create a leaf cane. It’s all in the cut and flip!

And, as a bonus, I am caning with Studio by Sculpey clay. Some people say don’t bother caning with it, I say- you just need to work with it a bit and learn its properties. You can’t have-at-it as if it were Fimo or Premo, because it’s not. It goes thru a pasta machine like silk- even to a number 9, without rippling like the more sticky clays.

Enjoy, and don’t forget to check out Polymer Clay Classroom.com, where I will be doing a project using this cane and show you a Palm leaf too.

Polymer Clay Holiday Gift Guide, Come Be A Part of It & Get Lots of Exposure

I was thinking it would be nice to do a holiday guide for polymer clay artists and share it on Polymer Clay Podcast & TV with our listeners and viewers.

I think its a great way to get people thinking about buying handmade polymer clay items this year.

I was thinking it would be nice to have categories such as jewelry, housewares, wearables (not jewelry), Table Top for the holidays, Ornaments, hostess gifts & cards. If anyone has some suggestions, I am open to them.

Anyone who would like to participate should send me 2-3 photos of 3-5 different items that you would like to promote to polymerclaypodcast@yahoo.com
I will try to use as many products as I can. You should include a link to your website or etsy shop as well.

I am also looking for artists who want to send actual product to be seen on the show, these items will NOT be returned but will be used as holiday prizes to our audience members, you will receive a link to your shop and if you send a bio we may use some info from there as well. If your item is used on the show we will give you credit in the show credits so that the listeners & viewers can find your shop. You can also include your business cards and any other info about the products you send. We have around 30,000+ listeners and viewers to our site every month not including that we are on You Tube, Google Video, I Tunes, Yahoo video, Blip TV, Flickr Video and about 300+ other places. We are listened and watched around the world.

I would need the photos and products in the next month to give me time to organize everything. Anyone sending product should get it to me as soon as possible too. Please let me know if you are interested by sending me an e-mail at polymerclaypodcast@yahoo.com

Please send to:
Ilysa Bierer
Polymer Clay Productions, Inc.
P.O. Box 1527
Branford,FL 32008

If you have any questions or suggestions you can always send me an e-mail. Thanks! Wishing everyone a successful holiday season!!!

Polymer Clay TV This Friday & Polymer Clay For A Cause

It has been a few days since I had time to write a post. My mother has had a few strokes and has lost some vision in her right eye, so I have not been by my computer much this week. Kira had a nightmare of a move this Saturday and is still not moved into her new place because the air conditioning is not working and of course it is close to 100 degrees in south Florida.  Her new apartment building has her staying in one of the models until they fix the AC, which they are quite slow about doing. Kira also won’t have internet at home for about a week. Yikes! It has been a crazy few weeks.

This week we have a new episode of Polymer Clay TV and our topic this week is leaf caning. Kira creates really fun leaf canes and uses them to create leaf beads. Come back on Friday to see Kira in action on Polymer Clay TV.

The Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy has just launched a new website and all of the sales will go to charity. The new shop is located at http://www.polymerclayforacause.etsy.com

They are also looking for donations for the shop, if you would like to donate any polymer clay items that would be great. Angela Moore is handling the shop and all the donations. You can send them to her at:

Polymer Clay For A Cause

P.O. Box 470100
Aurora, CO
80047-0100

You will be able to read more about the charity and group in an upcoming issue of Polymer Cafe.
