Well we are back from  our trip to Orlando and it was great to get to film again together. Kira and I have a fun time filming no matter where we do it. This time we filmed in our hotel room so it will be a little different this time. We had to film at a different angle because of the set up of the room but I think you will like the way it came out. We have some awesome shows coming up that you are going to really enjoy. This Friday on Polymer Clay Podcast we will talk about some of our experiences and share some of the upcoming episodes.

Today is the LAST day to get your photos submitted for the Holiday Gift Guide. If you are interested in participating you can send 3-5 photos of your work to us at polymerclaypodcast@yahoo.com

We have received a lot of submissions so you will get to see a large variety of work, so make sure to stay tuned for the airing of the show and make sure to come back Friday for the show.

Just what I thought we left behind in our youth. We filmed and went to the blog conference, stayed up too late, and found ourselves jolted from bed at 2:50 last night…er…this morning, due to the fact that several Disney-party-goers had heavily imbibed and thought that screwing around with the hotel’s fire detection system would be funny. There are conflicting reports- the hotel says it was “nothing but a prank,” whereas some people staying on the third floor said there was, indeed, smoke filling the halls. Maybe a little mattress fire? Who knows, we were outside sitting in my car for an hour and then came back inside although no one told us we could. It was all very confusing. But, we didn’t burn to crisps in our bed, and we had loaded the car with the filming equipment and stuff, so it was a quick and easy exodus and return. See what we go thru to get your filming done?

Watch our interviews with Jeffrey Lloyd Dever, Grant Diffendaffer, and Mike Devine. Enjoy!

Please don’t forget to vote for us, voting ends next Tuesday. Thanks!

Kira and I will be meeting up in Orlando this weekend to film new epsiodes of Polymer Clay TV and Polymer Clay Classroom. I can’t help but remember that first meeting in February of 2007 when Kira and I met in Orlando to hash out plans to start this whole endeavor. Boy does time fly when you are having fun!

We are heading to Orlando to attend a blogging conference and we hope to learn lots of new things to make the site even better. We are always trying to improve and move forward. While we are in Orlando we will film the next episodes of the show. We have lots of cool projects in the works, so stay tuned for those.

Make sure to come back tomorrow for a new epsiode of Polymer Clay TV, where we will air three interviews with the “Men of clay”.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I was searching the web for something yesterday when I came upon a project that I had not heard about. It is a project where polymer clay artists make beautiful hearts to give to the soldiers that are serving our country.

Linda has been working on this project since the beginning of 2005 and has made 12,000 hearts to date. There are some photos of her hearts on her website.

Hearts are collected to give to the troops as a way of letting them know that people care and appreciate what they are doing. The hearts should be the size of a quarter and they should be nicely finished and smooth to the touch.

You can read more about this wonderful project and find more info at
www.hearts4heroes.com

Remember that a lot of the troops are men so the hearts should not be too girly. I hope you will take the time to make some hearts for the troops, I know that a little gesture can really make someones day and when you are far away from family and friends a little gesture can go a long way. Thanks!

Make sure to come back Friday for the new episode of Polymer Clay TV. This week we share some interviews we did at Synergy with 3 of the men of clay.

We are heading to Orlando, FL on Friday to attend Blog Orlando and we hope to learn lots of new things and we will be sure to share them with you when we return. We are also filming the next few epsiodes while we are together and we have a bunch of fun projects planned so stay tuned for those.
