Hope everyone had a great weekend and wishing everyone a creative week. This Friday on Polymer Clay Podcast we will be talking about a really fun product called Glimmer Mists. http://www.mytatteredangels.com Glimmer Mists are a water based product that when you spray them on polymer clay they leave a shimmery color behind. You can spray the Glimmer mists lightly on the clay for a fine mist or you can really saturate the clay for a heavy droplet look.

This is a really fun product that you can really go crazy with trying different colors together and seeing what you can come up with. I have used the glimmer mists on the clay, let them dry and then silkscreened on top of them. It is an amazing look with lots of detail. Use your imagination and have fun with it. The Glimmer Mists are also safe for scrapbooking and cardmaking and I am sure it would work great on other projects. The only thing you need to remember is that it is water based so some of the darker colors might bleed a litle when you seal the colors on the clay. It gives it a tie dyed effect when this happens so it still looks cool. Have fun experimenting!
