Hope everyone had a nice holiday. Things were quiet here and I was able to get some catching up done over the week, which is always nice. This week on Polymer Clay TV we will be showing you some of the lady torsos that Kira and I made. These torsos come in a variety of sizes and the sky is the limit with what you can do with them. Make sure to tune in for some ideas to get you started.

Kira and I took a different approach to our ladies. Kira decopauged hers and used liquid clay for adhesion but I did not use anything at all except the clay and it worked great. So feel free to try a variety of techniques to see what works best for you. You can cover the entire surface of the paper mache or you can cover just sections, you can cut into it and add pieces inside or cut out shapes or symbols. Just let your imagination take over and you will have so much fun creating!

This Friday on Polymer Clay Classroom we will be showing you how to make a pocket mirror decorated with polymer clay. This is another great project and these mirrors make great gifts. You can also make these in any size or style you want. I haven’t made a case for it yet but I am planning on working on one for another show where I will be sewing the clay, so stay tuned to see how that turns out too. I am not an expert sewer but I figure if I have the right needle it will work great. A couple of years ago I was at the Craft & Hobby Assoc. show and saw a case that Donna Kato had sewn with Kato Clay so I know it can be done. Hope everyone has a great creative week and wishing everyone a happy, healthy, properous and creative year!
