Today we discuss how fun it is to make your own garland that looks like cookies or candies, but will last a lot longer than the real thing! And we give a shout-out to our Holiday Gift Guide winners, plus we discuss the French Blue craft totes we got from Creative Options. You won’t believe what we fit into these amazing bags. We both brought them to our last filming session, filled with the supplies we would need to film 6 projects! Including pasta machines, tools, clay, and everything else we use. It’s amazing. We love these bags and highly recommend them for anyone who travels with any type of craft. I have put yarn and needles in mine for crocheting, and am considering giving one to my sister who knits, too.

Be sure to come back next week to see the video. And, making faux candy garlands will be available as a video project at www.polymerclayclassroom.com.

There are so many ways to get inspired to make new things from polymer clay. I always say- if it exists, you can make it out of clay! Maybe it won’t work like the original- for instance, you can’t eat polymer clay candy, or brush your teeth with a polymer clay toothbrush…LOL
But you can make a convincing looking one, and someone might try!

Check out Maureen’s version of a polymer clay candy garland, this week’s topic. Be sure to come back next Friday to see ours!

This Friday we have a new episode of Polymer Clay Podcast and we will be talking about creating Christmas garland with polymer clay. We also will be talking about one of the bags we got from Creative Options, it is my new favorite bag. Kira had this idea to create garland for the holiday using polymer clay. I thought it sounded like a really cool project and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.

Next week on Polymer Clay TV we will be showing you these cool bags, you are gonna love em! If you haven’t already noticed there has been some changes to the website. Kira is working on making the site extremely easy to navigate, we hope that it makes your browsing experience better too.
