Our shipping is fixed!

We’ve lowered the price on our exclusive Acrylic Fun Bubbles rolling rods in red, green, blue and purple! Don’t lose your clay rolling rod on your craft table ever again! I think I lost my clear one for months before I got my blue one :)

After many arduous attempts at fixing our shopping cart shipping rates, by golly, I think I’ve fixed it! For some reason, it wanted to charge astronomical fees for shipping. Be advised of three things- we ship everything priority mail (you don’t want your clay baking in some truck, do you?) and Magic Transfer Paper must be heavily protected in the mail, which means boxing it up, so it will always be a little extra to ship, and- everything goes out with insurance. We’ve lost a few shipments in the mail, somehow, and this is a necessary step for us since we do replace lost shipments- but we need to recoup the funds.

This Friday we have a new episode of Polymer Clay Podcast, this is a special episode because it is the 100th show. That means we have been producing a new show for 100 weeks straight. Wow! It has been a total blast and we want to thank all of our loyal and new listeners who support the show every week. Who thought that on June 1st of 2007 that we would still be going strong almost 2 years later. A big thank you to all of our friends around the world for making the show a success!

Make sure to come back Friday to hear what we have in store for you next. We will be rolling out some new and fun stuff and we have lots of great prizes to give out soon too.

Kira and I have been working on a new shopping cart for our sister site http://www.craftedonline.com

The shopping cart was malfunctioning and expiring links to the downloads too soon, so we made the decision to switch carts and boy has it been an experience. The new cart will have almost 1000 products to choose from. There are polymer clay tutorials, crochet, knitting, collage sheets, beaded and wire  jewelry, felt, glass and so much more! Make sure to check it out and join our social network over there, we have all kinds of exciting things on the way.

I think back to when I got my Ipod and I realize how it has changed my life. If I had not purchased that video Ipod I don’t think I would have ever thought to do a podcast and videocast, in fact I had no idea what one was when I came across it on Itunes. Boy was my curiosity peeked and I started to listen and watch everything I could get my hands on. What a fantastic medium to get the word out about what you are passionate about. Today I couldn’t imagine my life with out our amazing new friends we have met along the way and we hope that we bring a little fun to your week with our show, we truly love what we do and hope you do too. Thanks for an amazing ride, it is only going to get better!

Kira and I met up in St. Augustine Beach this past Friday the 13th for the Orlando Clay Fandango. I am first  making a point of the fact that we met on Friday the 13th because I had a weird Friday the 13th experience and I am convinced of it. lol First let me start off by telling you how much fun the weekend was. There was lots of laughs and we got to meet lots of new and old friends. Kira and I had interviewed Lynn Ann Schwarzenberg and Tommie Howell at our very first CHA show we attended and we were talking with Tommie and he said we were on episode 4 or 5 and now we are on Episode #98, wow have times flew by.lol It was great to get to see them again. We also got to see Christi Freisen and filmed a demo of her doing a Steam Punk Bunny, Christi is a riot she is so fun and the stories she makes up as she goes along leave you in stitches.

We also got to meet Penni Jo Couch and she did a great demo on using oil pencils to do portraits on polymer clay that you will see on Polymer Clay TV. What a multi talented lady, it was great getting to know her. Dan Cormier and Tracy Holmes were there teaching and brought their son along on the trip. While Tracy taught on Sunday Dan and their son went off to the an Alligator park, Tracy joked that she hoped they both made it back.lol Dan had out a bunch of variations you can get using his technique and peeler and boy were they cool.

There was an auction, a brown bag swap, Bottles of Hope awards, a hat contest and so much more. It was a weekend jammed pack with fun and if you have the chance to attend next year I highly recommend it. A special thanks to the Orlando Area Polymer Clay Guild for having us.

Now to my Friday the 13th story. It was around 9 or 10 PM and I went down to the vending machine to get munchies for Kira and I with my last $2.00 in cash. I decided to get us each a honey bun and I pushed number 36 on the machine and my honey bun shot up into the back of a shelf on the darn machine and hung there taunting me the entire weekend.lol Every time we went to the room we had to pass this machine and there it sat staring me in the face.lol Only on Friday the 13th could that happen to me. Needless to say we shared the one I got and didn’t need the one that got stuck on that darn shelf.lol Make sure to come back Friday for Polymer Clay Podcast to hear all our adventures and misadventures of this fun weekend.

Here are a couple pics I got, Kira was the photographer this weekend and she will be posting some photos as well. Hope to see you there next year!
