It was a long week and we got a LOT done! Filming for our shows, filming for an upcoming workshop we’re giving at Creative Workshops, and a visit to the CHA show. We visited with Lisa Pavelka, who has great things to say about the new clay on the block- Pardo. Viva-Decor generously parted with a bunch for us to play with- we’ll report on that later.
Enjoy the show this week~on the Videos page!

This Friday we have a new episode of Polymer Clay Podcast and we talk about our upcoming trip to CHA, the Craft & Hobby Association Show in Orlando, FL. CHA is always a lot of fun and we get to see all the newest products on the market. We will have tons of footage to share with you when we return and next weeks Polymer Clay TV will feature some of the footage we film while there. Kira is coming up to my place on the 25th of this month for a few days of filming and planning. Then we will drive to Orlando for the show and then Kira and myself will head home. The following week I will head down to south, FL where we will meet Lynne Ann Schwarzenberg and Tommie Howell to film some DVD’s and possible courses. We are really looking forward to it and I know it will be a blast.Jane Zhou’s DVD’s areĀ  complete we are just working on the final touches of packaging and such, so look for those on the website shortly.

As always we have lots of things in the works. Kira and I will be teaching some online courses and we will tell you more about that as we get everything worked out. These courses will be a combo of video, audio and text so it should be a lot of fun. We also have an interview coming up with Owen that we have already recorded so stay tuned for that. Do you have any suggestions for the show any artists you would like to see us interview? If so send us an e-mail letting us know. polymerclaypodcast@yahoo.com

Have a great week!

Polymer Clay Podcast This Week Creating Faux Food

Hope everyone had a happy fourth for those of you in the USA. Mine was pretty uneventful, I stayed home and didn’t do much but clean and work. I had lots of time to think and was thinking how creating faux food would be a fun project. I have seen artists create all kinds of interesting things. I love how creative they get with making sushi.lol You can pretty much imitate any food you like but I enjoy making fun things like cupcakes or chocolate. Good enough to eat but make sure your kids and animals don’t get a hold of it.lolĀ  This is a fun project and if you check out our flickr page you will see a lot of examples from other artists.

We have an upcoming interview in the works with a polymer clay scuptor Owen and he makes the most fun portraits out of the clay. He is going to be sculpting a likeness of Kira and myself to use on the show and website. I am excited yet a little scared to see what I look like in polymer clay.lol He is such an amazing talent and you can check his work out here. http://www.FiendishThingies.com

He does custom work and his attention to detail is amazing so definitely check him out. We are getting ready to send another newsletter out so make sure to check your inboxes and approve us so we don’t end up in your spam cause there will be a great deal included you won’t want to miss. Have a great week and happy claying!
