Posted by Ilysa on 31 Mar 2008 | Tagged as: PCAGOE Featured Artist

Hope everyone had a good weekend. This Friday we have a new episode of Polymer Clay Podcast and we hope you will join us. It is the end of the month and we will be doing the drawing for our monthly prize winners and if you want to be entered make sure to sign up for our newsletter.

This week I wanted to share with you the work of http://www.chicki.etsy.com

Follow the link to her etsy shop to see some of her other goodies. I am a fan of the lentil beads and she does a wonderful job with creating them. Her hair pins and brooche are so fun and colorful and she adds millefiori flowers to them in a variety of colors.  Enjoy!

Polymer Clay TV this Friday & Featured PCAGOE Artist of the Week Zoeowyn

Posted by Ilysa on 24 Mar 2008 | Tagged as: PCAGOE Featured Artist, PCAGOE

This Friday is a new episode of Polymer Clay TV and it is all about the Orlando Clay Fandango retreat. We have a ton of footage to share but we are starting with the Flamingo Fashion show and I know you will be laughing as much as I did. It was a great time and I hope you can attend next year. Unfortunately I didn’t know everyones name who participated in the show. I won’t name names but there were a few well known ladies in the show, one who has a book on beads and is from the UK and one who started Polymer Cafe magazine, but I am not naming names, Oh wait I think I did but you will have to watch the show to see.LOL

This weeks featured Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy member is http://www.zoeowyn.etsy.com

This talented artist is definitely inspired by the critters that live in the ocean and you will see that in the photos. The cane she made recently of a mermaid used many bars of clay and weighed multiple pounds and was a delight to see. I am a big caner and when I did art shows I worked quite large, in fact every color of clay I used was 1/2 a bar of the large Fimo brick, which I think weighs 12 ounces and I used at least 5-10 colors per cane. I can’t wait to see what she makes with the cane!

Make sure to check out her etsy shop to see all the goodies she has to offer.
