The technique shown in today’s video was used on some beautiful and unique art jewelry in our new book, too: Polymer Clay Art Jewelry, How to make polymer clay jewelry using new techniques, which is available on Amazon.com! And hey, if you get our app for your iphone or android, we included a special wallpaper with a beautiful background image, just for you, to download and use!
Here are some polymer clay strips made with the Makins decorative edge scissors and a transfer we did of a butterfly using Magic Transfer Paper. We prefer these scissors over the ones made specifically for paper but you can definitely use those as well. Experiment with different edges for different looks, the sky is the limit!
Today we talked about texture tools, and the ways you can highlight or lowlight a texture on your polymer clay pieces. One of the best ways to make a piece look “professional” is to antique it after baking and right before you decide it is “finished.” Watch our demo below!

Kira uses Kreinik iron-on fibers to add some pretty bling to a pair of image transfer earrings. These have a steampunk image on a torso shape, and the fibers around the “waist” are so cool! Find these fibers at www.Kreinik.com.
