Watch as Ilysa demonstrates how easy it is to make little flowers using Kemper cutters. These even have designs on them from using Magic Transfer Paper to create the images. There are so many possibilities to using these cutters they are always in our tool box. You can find a variety of shapes and sizes and they last forever.
Do you have decorative edge scissors and polymer clay in your craft room? Check out what you can make with them! Never thought of cutting your clay with scissors? Then you’re missing out. The technique shown in today’s video was used on some beautiful and unique art jewelry in our new book, too: Polymer Clay Art Jewelry, How to make polymer clay jewelry using new techniques, which is available on Amazon.com! And hey, if you get our app for your iphone or android, we included a special wallpaper with a beautiful background image, just for you, to download and use!
Here are some polymer clay strips made with the Makins decorative edge scissors and a transfer we did of a butterfly using Magic Transfer Paper. We prefer these scissors over the ones made specifically for paper but you can definitely use those as well. Experiment with different edges for different looks, the sky is the limit!
Today we talked about texture tools, and the ways you can highlight or lowlight a texture on your polymer clay pieces. One of the best ways to make a piece look “professional” is to antique it after baking and right before you decide it is “finished.” Watch our demo below!
Welcome to Wondrous Wednesday where Ilysa and Kira show you some fun things you can do with craft products you might already have or might want to check out! Today we show you silkscreening on polymer clay as well as paper and wood. The silkscreen we are showing is by silkscreen studio on Etsy.com.
