On a personal note, I have been having so much fun in my studio and I am newly inspired. My mother passed away in November and she was a huge bead and jewelry collector for over 30 years (she taught me how to make jewelry at age 5). Well now I have her collection and have been going through everything and finding the most amazing vintage brass pieces and vintage glass beads that I have been adding polymer clay to. I am sure I will come up with a show to do on this technique.

I decided this year I was going to regroup and create things just for the heck of it and not because I think they will sell. This is truly when I do my best work. I decided that I want to incorporate things that speak to me and really examine the idea of mixed media in my work. So stay tuned for that, I will share some pics as I get things fired.
