Polymer Clay Productions, Polymer Clay Podcast (our weekly free talkshow), Polymer Clay TV (free video lessons) and Polymer Clay Classroom (downloadable tutorials) are the culmination of the relationship that began between Ilysa Bierer and Kira Slye, when Ilysa started the Polymer Clay Guild of Etsy, and Kira came on board to build the Guild’s website. Ilysa had the idea to start a podcast, Kira was into it, they both create with and share a deep passion for polymer clay, and the partnership was born.

The most important thing to remember is that all the new updated content, including our blog and shownotes, are always on the Home page of this site- which you can find on the bar at the very top left of your screen.

Our free podcast is released every other Friday. On the Fridays in between, a free companion videocast is released. In this video, you will see the topics and products we discuss in the podcast in a demonstration designed to whet your appetite for using polymer clay as an art and jewelry medium. We will also be demonstrating how various other products made for the art and craft industries can be successfully used with polymer clay to enhance it as an art form. We will visit the large trade shows for the craft industry and report back on our findings in order to keep you, our subscribers, up to date on the latest new tools, materials, techniques and clays available.

Twice a month, we will release a full length video tutorial. This will be a downloadable product that you can watch right on your computer, or load up to your video ipod. You will see us complete the specified project from start to finish and we will show you the tips and tricks necessary for working with whichever materials we are presenting. Each project will focus on a specific technique, and we will be providing lessons on art objects, functional objects, and jewelry. In the beginning we will be focusing in basic techniques. After the basics get covered, we will move on to more complex and advanced processes for working with polymer clay. We realize everyone needs to start out somewhere. All of the podcasts and videocasts will be archived for viewing later, so if you find us after we’ve been around for a while, don’t fret. You can always go back and check out the episodes you missed. You can also sign up for a subscription to these downloads which will give you a considerable cost savings on both videos and kits.
