Polymer Clay Podcast # 118- Post CHA 2009
We had a blast at CHA, we brought Jane Zhao with us this time and she enjoyed it too. We walked away with samples of the Pardo Clay from Viva-Decor, so we’ll let you know what we think of it soon. Lisa Pavelka was there, and shared her opinion last week on PCTV- and she was doing some amazing things with it. She is currently working with the company to get them to formulate a stiffer clay for caners. The colors are super-juicy, with many mica colors that have a gorgeous sheen. But if you prefer a stiffer clay, I predict you will not like Pardo as much as other clays, hence the push to get a stiffer forumula. The rumor is that Lisa is working on a set of signature colors as well, to add to the already 74 colors they have, so the number of colors is going to eventually top 100. I think it’s a great clay for mixed-media designs too. Can’t wait to try transferring onto it. It is soft right out of the package, and is perfect for sculptors like myself. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. However, we’re filming this week and escorting Lynne Ann to classes in S. Florida, where she has never been, so it’s gonna have to wait!
