Twice each month, in addition to our regular informative free podcast and videocast, Polymer Clay Productions releases a new downloadable project at Polymer Clay Classroom. Our projects are designed around the featured podcast topics of the month, and we have put a lot of thought into building your skills in a logical sequence. As you learn more about how to use the clay and tools, each project will build on those skills and introduce you to new ways of working with polymer clay.

There are so many possibilities for projects. Ilysa and Kira, as you will discover, approach polymer clay from distinctive points of view. Ilysa is very experienced with making functional objects, and Kira’s strength is jewelry and bead making. Ilysa makes wonderful complex kaleidoscope canes, whereas Kira has focused mainly on leaf and flower cane-making. Ilysa often creates art and objects on a large scale, and has made canes that started out the size of a dinner plate! But Kira feels more comfortable working on a tiny scale, and sometimes her canes only start out the size of a marshmallow. Therefore, as a team, Ilysa and Kira feel confident that they can create projects will appeal to everyone interested in polymer clay as an art medium.
