This Friday on Polymer Clay TV we will be airing a demo that Christi Friesen did at the Orlando Clay Fandango. Christi did a Steampunk bunny that came out so cute! You will not want to miss this demo, Christi is so fun to watch. You will have to watch the video here on the website or on Itunes to see the entire demo it was so long. Its like taking a class with Christi and we wanted you to see the entire thing. You Tube only allows 10 minutes of video so if you normally watch the show there you won’t be able to see the whole demo so make sure to come here and watch it in its entirety.

Kira and I will be getting together this Sat & Sun to film an upcoming DVD with Jane Zhao. Jane is such a talented artist and is well known for her polymer clay artwork. Jane will be filming many of her flower canes with us and we are really looking forward to it. We are planning a series of polymer clay DVD’s with many well known artists so stay tuned for that these will be demonstrations of things you have never seen before and we will be offering them in DVD as well as downloadable media. Fun fun!

Polymer Clay Class For A Cause

I wanted to share about an upcoming class to help out  a polymer clay artist and her family. I have personally met Ponsawan at CHA and when I received this info I wanted to share it with you all, she is such a talented artist and many of you know her from the forums. My heart goes out to her and her family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers and if you are in the area please consider joining the class.

Christi Friesen has offered to do a 3 day workshop, April 17,18, & 19th, 2009. That’s 3 fun filled days of generously discounted classes. We can’t begin to thank Christi for her help in this event!!!

This workshop is a benefit event for polymer clay artist Ponsawan Silapiruti’s daughter Ada. Ponsawan is polymer clay jewelry artist living in Indianapolis and her work has been featured several times on Polymer Clay Daily.

You may know the story: On March 2,2008, Ada was a vibrant, caring young woman full of life, excitement, and promise. On March 3rd 2008 she was in a coma with brain damage and broken bones. Hit by a drunk driver that sustained no damage. The world changed for Ponsawan, Ada and their family.

Ada is home now being lovingly cared for by her mother. Ponsawan has found it in her heart to forgive the drunk driver (she is a better person than I am). Ponsawan rejoices in Ada’s small accomplishments; a glance here, moving her hand. Progress is slow but the expense of caring for Ada, even at home, isn’t slow and continues to mount.

Full workshop details and online or snail mail register form at: http://indianabeadsociety.org/class-friesen.htm

I hope that people will attend the classes or consider a donation to help Ada (and

Ponsawan).  http://dearada.blogspot.com/
