I just completed a move to Connecticut from Florida and am starting to get settled in, I ended up purchasing the same glass top table that I have at home in Florida. I love that table and for $99 you just can’t beat it, you can check it out on the Polymer Clay TV episode where I give a little tour of my art studio. Now all I have to do is put it together.lol I will be working on getting Lynne Anns double DVD finished and ready to go. In the double DVD she shows how to make 4 flowers, all with different variations. Kira has been working on Tommie Howell’s DVD that may possibly be a double DVD as well. In his DVD he shows how to sculpt a realistic face as well as a cartoon face. You are going to love these DVD’s so stay tuned as we will announce their release right here on the blog.

This weekend I will be attending the Innovative Bead Expo in Cromwell, CT and will be filming there and sharing it with you on an upcoming show. The show is April 10-11 Sat 10AM-5PM and Sunday 10AM – 4PM. You can find out more about the show by visiting their website http://www.innovativebeadsexpo.com They have classes at the event and from what I have heard a great selection of unique beads. Stay tuned for all the footage from the show. If anyone is going and would like to meet up please get in touch. I think I will be attending on Saturday as my boyfriend and I have tickets to go see Christopher Cross in concert on Sunday. Sailing take me away…. lol

Polymer Clay TV This Friday Creating Pocket Mirrors

This Friday we have a new episode of Polymer Clay TV and we will be showing you some pocket mirrors. These are easy to make and you can use a variety of techniques to create them. These also make great gifts too. I used Glimmer Mists on mine and I also silkscreened over the Glimmer Mist and then sprayed the Glimmer Mist on top of the silkscreen. It came out really cool, I just loved the effect. Try experimenting with the different techniques, why not use gold or silver leaf or pigment powders or ink, the sky is the limit.

Kira and I had a meeting yesterday and we talked for hours, so whats new.lol We hashed out some plans for some new and exciting things that will be coming soon. We are planning some more interviews for the show as well. We have an upcoming interview with an artist who sands and buffs all of their beads and pendants and she will be sharing some tips of hers and sharing how to get started with it. Kira and I do not sand normally so Jeanette will offer some good insight into this technique, so make sure to come back next Friday for that on Polymer Clay Podcast.

Is there an artist that you would like us to interview? Let us know we are planning our future shows and we are open to anything. We will have some interviews coming up with the artists who will be teaching at the Orlando Clay Fandango in March so that should be a lot of fun too. Check back often to see what we have in store.

Are you teaching any upcoming polymer clay classes, do you have a retreat planned, let us know and we will be sure to share it with our audience. Hope everyone has a creative week!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend, in the USA we celebrated Labor Day and most people had yesterday off for a long weekend. I spent a lot of time in my studio this weekend working on some new projects. I am having too much fun and coming up with lots of new things that you will see on upcoming shows. Iris from http://www.polyform.com sent us the entire set of their Texture Makers and I love them! They are probably the best stamps I have used. Whatever they are made of did not stick to even the softest clay with using no release at all. I was impressed with the designs as they are so deep and quite fun. We will be showing  them and what we make with them on a future show, so stay tuned for that.

This Friday our topic is the new Creative Options bags, these are the coolest bags packed with lots of great compartments and on top of all the room and space they are absolutely adorable. If you are attending a retreat or class or just traveling, these bags are perfect to pack your craft supplies that you want to work with, there are so many compartments and lots of room.

Check out their site to see what I am talking about. http://www.creativeoptionscrafts.com

They have given us one of their special bags to give away to one of our lucky listeners and viewers. Make sure to come back next week to see which bag you have a chance to win on Polymer Clay TV. All you have to do to be entered is to either comment on the website or sign up for our newsletter. (there is a button on the right sidebar of this site). Hope you all have a creative week!

I wanted to share with you some of the cutest Bottles of Hope, they are made by Pamela and I know that whoever receives them will fall in love with them. You can check out more of her work at http://www.clayangel.etsy.com
